The Lean Six Sigma Black Belt is the key change agent for the Six Sigma process - leading teams to organizational and financial improvement where it is needed most.

Lean Six Sigma Black Belt Certification Training is an intensive training program in quantitative and qualitative analytical skills, project management, group dynamics, team building, and change management.

Lean Six Sigma Black Belt Certification is conferred to participants who successfully pass the examination and project.

Qualifying Criteria: 

Must have attended the Ateneo CCE Lean Six Sigma program.

2. Participant who have attended a Lean Six Sigma Green Belt Certification Program outside Ateneo are required to take a pre-qualifying exam

At the end of this workshop, participants will be able to: 

  1. Explain in general terms what “Six Sigma” refers to and why it is relevant to process improvement; identify the DMAIC steps and their sequence along with the outputs of and tools in each step;

  2. DEFINE your project’s purpose and scope and get background on the process and customer;

  3. In MEASURE, focus improvement efforts by gathering information on the current situation;

  1. In ANALYZE, identify root causes and confirm them with data;

  2. In IMPROVE, develop, try out, and implement solutions that address root causes and use data to evaluate your solutions and the plans used to carry them out; and

  3. CONTROL the process and maintain the gains by standardizing work methods or processes, anticipating future improvements and preserving the lessons from your project

Ms. Anamaria M. Mercado is a certified Six Sigma Master Black Belt and Lean Practitioner. She received her certification after six weeks of training in the US and a two-year full-time assignment as a Six Sigma Deployment Manager.  She is also the Program Director of Six Sigma Certification Programs at the Ateneo Graduate School - Center for Continuing Education.

As a Deployment Manager, she helped launch the continuous improvement initiative in her former company. She managed multiple projects across the organization, improving process performance and customer satisfaction while delivering financial benefits.

Further, she has professional experience in sales and marketing management, as well as in training and development. Over the years, Ms. Mercado has concentrated on providing training and coaching services to various clients across industries, particularly in the areas of business process improvement and service excellence.

Ms. Mercado has a degree in Business Economics and post-graduate units in Professional Education from the University of the Philippines. She also holds a Masters degree in Business Administration from the Ateneo Graduate School of Business.
